This is a demonstration. Northside Family Dental is not a real practice and every figure below is invented. It is laid out exactly as a real client’s portal is.

What we stopped this month

The work you did not have to think about. None of this reached anybody at the front desk.

Malicious attachments and pages blocked31
Updates installed, mostly overnight148
Known security holes closed63
Vulnerabilities still open, rated critical4
Being exploited in the wild right now0

That last line is the one that matters. Plenty of vulnerabilities are theoretical; the ones on CISA’s exploited list are being used against real businesses this week. Yours is at zero.

What needs you

Three things we cannot decide for you. Everything else this month was handled without asking.

Two machines fall out of warranty in November

Reception and the back office, bought together in 2021. Both fine today. Worth putting in the budget for the new year rather than replacing one the week it dies.

Plan
The reception PC is warning about its drive

Not failed, and nothing has been lost — the drive is telling us it expects to. We would swap it during a lunch break rather than on the morning it stops.

This month
One person still shares the front desk login

It makes the audit trail useless, and it is the thing that turns a small incident into a large one. Ten minutes to fix; it needs a decision about who owns what.

Yours, and yours to take. If you ever leave us, this goes with you — the next people should not have to rediscover your network.

We built this. That is not normal

Almost every IT company your size hands you a login to somebody else’s software — the monitoring vendor’s portal, with their name on it, their layout, and ninety per cent of it built for enterprises with an IT department to read it. Most owners log in once and never again.

This is ours. We wrote it, we own it, and we shape it around what a twelve-person practice actually needs to know: what got stopped, what got fixed, and the two or three things only you can decide. When something on this page is not useful to you, we change it — we are not waiting on a vendor to agree.

The monitoring underneath is not ours and we would not pretend otherwise: devices, alerts and tickets come from Atera, patching and vulnerability data from Action1 — proper tools we chose and pay for. What is ours is everything you are looking at: the reporting, the plain-English translation, and the decision that your documentation belongs to you rather than living inside a system you cannot take with you. It is the same software we build for clients as a business, which is the honest reason we can build it for ourselves.

This is what the month looks like

We would rather show you the deliverable than describe it. If you want to know what your own machines look like right now, the assessment is free and you keep the report either way.
